Course Preview The Fatal Four Healthcare Needs For People With IDD As a person who supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), it is important to be aware of health problems that are common for this population. It is also critical to be aware of different interventions and treatments for these health problems. This course discusses the signs and symptoms of common health problems for people with IDD, including the Fatal Four, urinary tract infections, pressure injuries, allergic reactions, and asthma. This course will also discuss the appropriate response to these health problems. This course is part of a five-part series on health needs for people with IDD.
