Relias Learning and The Association for Talent Development Announce Strategic Partnership

New partnership to develop a Healthcare State of Training report as a leading source of information for talent development professionals in healthcare.

CARY, NC, October 13, 2015 –Relias Learning, the leader in online training and compliance solutions for the healthcare market, and The Association for Talent Development (ATD), formerly ASTD, announced their strategic partnership today. ATD, the world’s largest association dedicated to those who develop talent in organizations, will work alongside Relias Learning to further develop and disseminate best practices for training across the healthcare industry.

The initial focus of the new partnership will be to create a Healthcare State of Training report that provides a comprehensive source of information for talent development professionals in healthcare. The healthcare industry is currently undergoing major shifts that will require innovative training practices. The research will aim to identify and analyze trends that provide organizations with best practices for their staff development programs.

“Staying ahead of trends allows us continuously provide the best training available and provide meaningful insights into how our industry is evolving,” said Eric Masters, Vice-President of Marketing at Relias Learning. “By partnering with ATD, we’re able to conduct large-scale research to identify the upcoming changes that will shape needs and opportunities for healthcare organizations.”

The Healthcare State of Training report will focus on the unique needs of healthcare professionals working in clinical settings and the nuances of healthcare training programs in an industry that is heavily regulated. The report will offer insight into how healthcare training is planned, delivered, measured and recorded by departments.

“Developing talent well has never been more important in the healthcare industry, which is changing dramatically and rapidly,” said Michele Rhoades, Healthcare Community of Practice Manager for ATD. The ATD Healthcare Community of Practice serves healthcare executives, providers, managers and trainers working to create next-generation healthcare environments through learning, talent development and culture change. “Healthcare providers face increasing challenges in upskilling their workforce, implementing training technologies for clinicians, and developing a patient-centric mindset. Our research partnership with Relias Learning will provide a valuable resource for leaders of healthcare organizations making strategic decisions for talent development to meet next-generation needs across the healthcare continuum,” Rhoades added.

ATD research reports offer an empirical foundation for today’s data driven decision makers, containing both quantitative and qualitative analysis about organizational learning, human capital management, training, and performance. By providing comprehensive data and insightful analysis, ATD research reports help business leaders and talent development professionals understand and more effectively respond to the employee development needs in their organizations.
