Relias Recognized Second Year in a Row As Best Place To Work for LGBTQ+ Equality

North Carolina based software company earns top score for the second consecutive year in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index

Relias, trusted education and workforce development partner to more than 11,000 healthcare organizations worldwide, proudly announced that it received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index for the second consecutive year.

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational arm of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people. The 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. This year’s CEI reflects growth across every measurement category, from the adoption of inclusive non-discrimination policies to equitable healthcare benefits for transgender employees.

“We’re incredibly proud to receive this recognition again,” said Tina Krebs, Chief People Officer at Relias. “But it’s important to say we’re not perfect – we’re progressing. From our hiring to our benefits to our training, Relias is constantly evaluating how to build a more equitable and empowering environment for our employees.”

In the 2022 CEI, more than 1,270 U.S.-based companies were evaluated under detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:

Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2022 Corporate Equality Index with 20 Years

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families
  • Supporting an inclusive culture
  • Corporate social responsibility

The first year that the CEI was curated, only 13 companies achieved a top score. Now, 20 years later, Relias is featured alongside 840 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks and the designation as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.

“For us, it’s more than putting requirements in place. It’s about accountability,” said Kelli Slade, DEI Director at Relias. “It’s about actively nurturing a space where all members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as people of color and those with disabilities know — and more importantly, feel — that they belong.”
